My another entry for Priya's event. Red rice is said to be better alternative than white rice for people having diabetes. So I thought why not try a dosa with it. Along with flaxseeds it is healthy too. It was tasty and crispy. Served them with coconut chutney Sending this to announcing-healthy-diet-diabetic event hosted in Priya's blog
You need:
Red Rice 2cups
Urad dhal 1/2cup
Red rice flakes 1/4cup
Sago 1/4cup
Organic brown flax seed 2tbsp
Fenugreek seeds 1/4tsp
Salt
Olive oil
Preparation:
Wash the rice and dhal, Soak them along with rice flakes, flax seeds, sago for 5-6 hours
Grind them with salt to a fine and smooth batter . Ferment them overnight.
The next day, heat the tawa, pour a ladleful of batter and spread to a thin dosai. Remove excess batter Pour 1 tsp of oil around the dosai. Cook for 2-3 minutes. Remove and serve them hot.
